Seeds of Dissent Tour: Hidden Springs at Bartram’s Gardens
11 AM – 12 PM
The Garden has long been a place for the exchange of ideas. In the 18th and 19thcentury, notable persons in the fields of art and science gathered here at this garden to walk its grounds and discuss abstract ideas and the issues of their time. The Garden was a place of ideas and imagination – where the passing of the seasons and the intimate connection to the tides could spark inspiration and creativity. Join us this season as we explore the land through new lenses and with new teachers. Arrive ready to contribute to the conversation.
Hidden Springs: Uncovered and Marked to Remember
Several springs once ran through the Garden providing fresh cool water to the inhabitants of the land. Join us in uncovering their location, their use, and their disappearance.
